Being the super organised nerd that I am, I have just sent out the last of our Save the Dates! A lot of our friends are getting engaged and setting the date for their own weddings so we thought we ought to make sure we got in there early!
Pinterest was my main source of inspiration when thinking about what I wanted our Save the Dates to look like (if you click on the images it will take you through to my Pinterest board and their links)
I really loved the idea of somehow including our dog Primrose.
I then came across a Pin of this design by Etsy seller Nostalgic Imprints and just loved how they have themed the card in the style of a Vintage Polaroid Photograph
I mocked up the general idea on Photoshop, but then my very kind and talented (hoping he might help on the invites too!) big brother turned it into a professional looking design. In creating our Save the Date, I have found a new love for Typography! We spent a whole Sunday afternoon trawling through various font websites and testing them out.
Here’s the final version… what do you think?
Something I didn’t think to do before we got them printed, was to check whether I would be able to find envelopes to fit. I had searched on eBay and Etsy for ages, and even considered making my own, when I came across these Wage Packet Envelopes. Amazingly and coincidentally they were the perfect size!
I also bought some sticky labels to print the addresses on, as I didn’t fancy handwriting all 50 of them!
And here is how the envelopes looks!
