Hooray! We’ve made it to hump day!
On Sunday I went to the National Vintage Wedding Fair in Harrogate. They are the winners of The Best Vintage Wedding Fair, with over 50 exhibitors showcasing some of the UK’s Best Vintage Wedding Ideas. I excitedly went along with my friend Rachel. She got married almost 5 years ago now, but she was as giddy as I was!
There was a great variety of stands from Vintage dresses, accessories and decor, to stationary, photo booths and cakes! Every stand offered something unique.
I hadn’t even thought about a vintage dress until Sunday. Seeing some of the styles The Bridal Emporium, Story of My Dress and Vintage Lane has definitely got me thinking! I love the idea of wearing a dress with history. There was an abundance of lace, and layers, and sleeves (my favourite!). They are also really reasonably priced (the ones I tried on started at £160). The only downside was the size. I am a 10/12 but most of the vintage dresses were an 8 (or smaller). Here are some of the dresses I squeezed myself into…
I also met some other fabulous suppliers including Picture Us Photobooths. This was great fun, and I’d love this at our wedding. But the actual booth is quite big, and I’m concerned it wont fit inside the Tipi.
Did you go to the fair on Sunday? Are you planning a Vintage style wedding? I’d love to see some images of vintage dresses you’ve tried/worn?
