Hello lovelies. I hope you have had a fab weekend. I had a days holiday to use up today, and although I had nothing special planned, it’s been great! I’ve been really productive, catching up on some chores and going for a long walk in the rain.
In January I was lucky enough to receive a voucher for the Turkish Baths in Harrogate. I decided to put it towards a Turkish Prescription Facial this weekend.
When I arrived, I was taken through to the changing rooms and given a robe to wear. I was then introduced to my therapist, Sarah, who took me to the treatment room where she asked me a few questions about my skin. I used to suffer from bad acne as a teenager, and in my head I still think of myself as having bad skin. But the reality is that it is actually pretty ‘normal’ nowadays. So I asked her for something relaxing and refreshing, and I certainly got that!
After twice cleansing my face using Germaine De Capuccini products and lovely hot towels, she toned and exfoliated before applying a moisturising mask. The treatment included a scalp and hand massage… utter bliss. It was just what I (and my skin) needed after a busy week.
Sarah then gave me a list of recommended products which I would love to invest in at some point.
I would highly recommend the Turkish Baths. Although on this visit, I only went in the spa, I have used the Baths in the past. It is a unique experience, with relaxation room and plunge pool. It’s a great chance for a girly catch up. I went with my Mum a few years ago and I am due to go again later this year as part of my friends wedding preparations.
Has anyone else been to the Turkish Baths? Do you have any Spa’s you would recommend?
