Good evening lovelies! I hope you have had a fab weekend. For the first time since the start of the summer, I’ve had a weekend where I had nothing planned whatsoever… and I loved it! In between a lot of sleeping, cleaning and dog walking, I’ve managed to get on with a few wedding craft projects. More of that another time!
Today, I want to share with you the exciting news that I have booked our florist! For me, the flowers are a really important part of the day. As you may know, our reception is going to be in a Tipi, which is literally a blank canvas. I want the space to be overflowing with fresh autumnal blooms! (You can read my recent post on floral inspiration here).
I’ve been bridesmaid twice this year (again… more on this another time) and I love the moment in the morning when the florist arrives to deliver the bouquets. At both weddings, this was the moment that it really hit me that my friend was about to get married!
Leafy Couture were top of my list of preferred florists thanks to the gorgeous job they did at the Cat Hepple workshop Christian and I ‘modelled’ for. After visiting their workshop and spending some time chatting through ideas, I was confident that they completely understood my vision for the day and trusted that they would know how to deliver it!

So the lovely ladies at Leafy Couture are going to be making mine and my bridesmaids bouquets, along with the boys buttonholes. They are going to provide all of the flowers for the church and reception but to help save a few pennies, I am going to be doing the arrangements myself. Luckily the rustic autumn theme means they don’t need to be too perfect!
With only two weeks until our 1 year countdown can officially begin, I am working my way steadily through my to-do-list… and still loving every minute of it!
I’d love to hear from you if you did your own flowers for your wedding… am I being a bit ambitious?
